About JFK

Adejuwon Jude FeranmiAdejuwon Jude Feranmi was born in Ilesha to Pharmacist J.B Adejuwon (JOSTADE) and Mrs R.F Adejuwon on the 27th of November, 1991. He attended Ultimate Group of Schools and scored the highest in the common entrance examinations in the state in 1999 when he graduated from Primary 5 in 1999. By 2015, Jude graduated from Pre-Varsity Education Center in Ireti Ayo in Ilesha at the age of 14 and gained admission to study Pharmacy at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.

While studying Pharmacy, Jude already nicknamed after the 35th President of the United States, JFK, represented the faculty at the Students Representative Council of the Students’ Union. After a sobering experience at his father’s pharmaceutical company – Jostade Pharmaceutical Industries which shut down due to several issues that reinforced the unconducive business environment, Jude changed course to study to Philosophy and major in Political Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts. Jude also campaigned and won the seat to represent the Faculty of Arts at the Students’ Representative Council of the Students’ Union. In the same election year, JFK contested for the office of the Speaker of the SRC and lost the bid. Jude later served as the Public Relations Officer of the Electoral Committee which also served as the transition government before the new officers were elected.

After graduating in 2015, JFK joined one of Nigeria’s political parties at the time – KOWA Party and mobilized young people to join the party en-masse. He later contested for the office of the National Youth Leader in the party’s convention in 2016 and won becoming the youngest National Youth Leader of any political party in the country at the time. JFK’s time as National Youth Leader of KOWA Party brought the party into even more limelight after the party’s performance at the 2015 elections debate where its then candidate Professor Remi Sonaiya won the hearts of many. through town halls, constituency meetings and various innovations like micro-group meetings, JFK and his team changed the conversation around young people’s participation in politics leading many to join the party and pursue political power on the party’s platform.

In 2017, JFK ran on the KOWA Party’s platform for Councilor of Ilesa East Local Government Area. The team ran a very viral campaign that began a public leadership journey within Ijesha land and in Osun State. JFK is considered one of the most prominent young leaders in the state and in Nigeria as whole offering political commentary, policy analysis and governance advisory on the nation’s most popular TV stations – Channels TV, AIT amongst others.

JFK is also the Convener of Raising New Voices Initiative and the CEO of Republicraft Consulting. He is the author of two books, ‘The Pragmatics of Real Change’ and ‘Lead The People’ and is married to Nafisa Atiku-Adejuwon
